Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Amen
None of us enjoys being insulted or excluded.
We donโt want to be the ones who are weak and get trampled.
We naturally put great effort into avoiding difficulty.
Yet when hardship comes to us for Jesusโ sake, through persecution or harassment, we can find delight in knowing that our weakness makes room for Godโs strength to be revealed in us, to His recognition.
Lord, as I struggle with the insults, the coldness, and in some instances, the hostility of those who oppose me, help me to lean on Your strength.
I am too weak on my own to withstand the burdens.
Still, I trust that Your excellent work will be revealed through my hardship, and I take joy in knowing that my victory in You is secure.
In Jesusโ name, amen.๐
