Jesus ~ God ⚜️⚜️

If you are a parent, you have experienced the heartache of seeing your child hurt, scared, or sad. Even when we are disciplining our children, we feel the brunt of their pain and desire for them to be comforted. If we, as earthly parents, are capable of this deep compassion, how much more does God have for us? It assures He feels our pain and is prepared to provide comfort and solace.

As a father pitieth his children, the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

Father God, thank You for Your compassion. It gives me peace to know that You understand my pain and fear, that by Your love, You are moved with compassion for me, and that You have the power to heal, restore, and comfort me. Please take my pain, Lord, and by Your boundless compassion, fill me with Your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Many young people and non-believers often share a joyful misunderstanding about prayer! They tend to think that prayer is all about making requests and asking God for things. While it’s true that there are times when we lift our hopes and requests in prayer, let’s not forget the beautiful side of the conversation: taking a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the incredible blessings we’ve received! God is not simply our concierge, ready to fulfill our every wish; He’s so much more than that! Embracing this joyful relationship through thanksgiving adds depth and richness to our prayers, reminding us of the countless reasons to celebrate and rejoice!
