What are some examples of biases and preconceived notions that we should be mindful of? Hey there!

Have you ever thought about how we form first impressions of others? It’s easy to judge someone based on their appearance, but what if we look beyond the surface and see the person within?

Research has shown that our first impressions of others can be misleading. We tend to make snap judgments about people based on their appearance without taking the time to understand who they are. But the truth is, appearances can be deceiving.

By learning to see beyond appearances, we can create a more inclusive and accepting world. We can learn to appreciate the diverse qualities that make us all unique and special. We can connect with others on a deeper level and build meaningful relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.

So, how do we learn to see beyond appearances? It starts with being mindful of our own biases and preconceived notions. We can challenge ourselves to look beyond the surface and get to know the person behind the face. We can ask questions, listen with an open mind, and seek to understand rather than judge.

In doing so, we can unlock the beauty and potential within every one of us. We can create a world that is more friendly, more compassionate, and more just.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and may you always see the beauty in

You will never know if something is meant for you if you don’t give it a proper chance.

Whether it’s a relationship, a new job, a new city, or a new experience, throw yourself into it completely and don’t hold back.

If it doesn’t work out then it probably wasn’t meant for you and you’ll walk away without regret, knowing that you put your whole heart into it.

That’s all you can ever do.

It’s a horrible feeling leaving a situation knowing that you should have and could have done more.

So find the courage to take that chance, find the inspiration to make your next move, and once you do, pour your heart into it and don’t look back.

The truth is, if you know what kind of life you want to live, if you know what kind of love you want to experience, if you know how you want your job or your hobbies or your moments on this earth, to make you feel, you have to stop doing things that are in direct opposition of those hopes.

If you want the kind of love that is beautiful, soft, and peaceful all over -you have to have the strength to walk away from the kind of love that is convenient and difficult and that weighs down your heart. If you want the kind of life that is full, that feels like living within it, that doesn’t feel like you are just tolerating it, that you are just going through the motions challenging the motions. you have to

You have to let go of what no longer serves you. You have to chase what is light. You have to defend it, you have to nourish what supports the beauty in your life. You have to go out into this world, you have to crash yourself into the core of it, and you have to figure out what makes you feel the most alive. Anything else is not for you.

NEXT TIME

The next time you judge someone, think about how you feel about being judged.

The next time you talk, think about the words you use and what effect they will have.

The next time you tell someone how they’re put together, make sure you know someone’s past and present, someone’s pain, struggle, and what’s behind the shell.

The next time you touch someone, think about the consequences of your touch, make sure you know how that person feels.

The next time you lash out at someone, ask yourself if this is justified and if it adds anything.

The next time you lie, ask yourself if it solves anything and if you would rather know the truth yourself. The next time you shut someone out, think about the times when you felt alone. Think of the other.

Look beyond your own needs and emotions. Treat someone else the way you want to be treated.

Give someone else a fair chance.

Make sure you know better next time.

Country singer Dolly Parton wrote the songs “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene” on the same night.
When the first song was at the top of the charts in 1974, Elvis wanted to record his own version of the song. Dolly was interested until Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis’ manager, said that it was standard procedure that when the king of rock and roll covered a song – half of the rights to that song would go to him in the future. She refused it.

“I said, ‘I’m 😞 and cried all night. It was terrible for me, on the one hand, it’s Elvis. People told me: “You are crazy.” It’s Elvis Presley…’ but I just couldn’t do it. Something told me in my heart not to do it and I didn’t. I know he would rock with that song. But I couldn’t. And then Whitney Houston came along with her version and I made enough money from the rights to buy Dollywood.”
She grew up in severe poverty and no one famous has done more for the education of the poor than her.
In 1990, the percentage of students who did not graduate from high school in her hometown was over 30%. She introduced the “Buddy Program”, where all high school graduates received a nice sum when they graduated. It wasn’t just a waste of money, she came and explained the concept to them – everyone should find a buddy, and whoever doesn’t succeed she will find one for them. Everyone had to sign that they would graduate and do everything in their power to ensure that their buddy also graduated. She taught young people about friendship and helping. The number of school dropouts dropped to below 6% and has remained so until today.
When 900 families lost their homes in the 2016 fires, she paid each family $1,000 for the next five months. When she came to the bank to finish the paperwork, she gave each family another $5,000 to find. A total of nine million dollars.
Also, her work – Imagination Library from 1995, was inspired by her realization that young people in rural areas and poor families already fall behind when they start school and that this prevents them from pursuing higher education. The goal of her program was for every child in her district to receive one book, once a month, from birth to school, completely free of charge, without any conditions. It started as an initiative in her hometown and has spread to a huge number of countries around the world. By 2018, over 100 million books were distributed in this way.
She is also known for her witty statements, at the beginning of her career she said-“I’m not offended by jokes about stupid blondes because I know I’m not stupid… and I’m not blonde either.”
