Breaking Down

“BREAKDOWN.” a poem January 18, 2020 (Saturday)

A breakdown hasCOME “out of The Blue?”

Maybe not, butNOW, I reflect on you,

On your sweet love and your kindness too.

And it slowsME from my erratic skew.

Without said breakdown more harm would be done,

In The Name of what I thought was loving and fun.

I pauseREALIZING writingHADbecome unkind,

Composed by “someone” who’s lost their mind?

Out of control? Well, depression reigns it in,

And my thoughts are centered on unrecognized sin.

Will “recovery” come? I do not know.

It seems hopeless; it may be slow,

And is my love true for anyone now?

In hopelessness, I’m not sure how.

I can only try now with a steady resolve,

And hope without hope as we revolve,

Step by step. (pause) Gone the racyPACE;

Depression has frowned this onceSMILINGface.

Life can be likened to a bouquet of roses, each with its unique charm. Some roses sparkle like raindrops, while others lose their luster in the absence of sunlight. Some roses wilt away with time, while others bloom in a kaleidoscope of colors. Some roses sag with drooping petals, while others captivate with their beauty. However, it is vital to acknowledge that the perception of beauty resides in the eyes of the beholder.
