The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.๐
Forgive me for ever doubting You, precious God! You are my refuge and salvation, please hear my prayer. Lead me as Your sheep, so that I can remove my burdens. Protect me from evil, and teach me to detect it on my own. I ask this of You in your eternal grace, O Lord. I shall leave everything else to You. Amen.๐
I am your dog, and I have a little something I’d like to whisper in your ear.
I know that you humans lead busy lives. Some have to work, some have children to raise. It always seems like you are running here and there, often much too fast, often never noticing the truly grand things in life. Look down at me now, while you sit there at your computer. See the way my dark brown eyes look at yours? They are slightly cloudy now. That comes with age. The gray hairs are beginning to ring my soft muzzle.
You smile at me; I see love in your eyes. What do you see in mine? Do you see a spirit? A soul inside who loves you as no other could in the world? A heart that would forgive all trespasses of prior wrongdoing for just a simple moment of your time? That is all I ask. To slow down, even for a few minutes, to be with me. So many times, you have been saddened by the words you read on that screen of another of my kind passing. Sometimes we die young and oh so quickly, sometimes so suddenly it wrenches your heart out of your throat. Occasionally, we age so slowly before our eyes that we may not even seem to know until the very end when we look at you with grizzled muzzles and cataract-clouded eyes. Still, the love is always there, even when we must take that long sleep to run free in a distant land.
‘Do not ask your children to strive’ by William Martin โจ
Such striving may seem admirable, but it is the way of foolishness.โจ
Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears. Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand.โจ
And make the ordinary come alive for them The extraordinary will take care of itself.โจ
I know sometimes you feel troubled. I know you feel weak. I see you at times trembling with fear and confusion about your life. I know that you often feel lonely and afraid. So I want to tell you now, my dear child, your suffering reaches my ears and my heart. You may think that I don’t hear your cry, but know this: not only do I hear your cry of anguish, but I cry with you, and our cry reaches my Father in heaven.๐
Your pain and suffering never, not in a single instant, go unheard. Every tear and every moment of worry pierces my heart. My heart bleeds from all the sadness you feel.๐
Know that all your pain I have taken upon myself. Even before it hurt you, it was in my wounded side for all eternity. All your suffering, shame, and fear took upon me so that you could be at peace with my Father. I have done this for all humankind. For this, my Father lifted and glorified me, his Son, above all others. This reason, above all, is why I came.๐
I want to give you the one thing I am sure will help you in any uncertain moment: my peace. I give you my peace, with nothing held back. I give you the peace that comes only from my Spirit. My Spirit tells you who I am and what I did for you, and all the splendor and majesty of God is found within my peace.๐
My peace sets you free. Do not fear. My peace heals you. Be strong Trust in my peace. Receive my peace.๐
It is my love poured out for you from before time itself and continuing eternally.๐
Rest, beloved child, in the loving arms of my peace.๐๐
Jesusโ words are Godโs words. Reading and studying our Bibles, we know God through His Son, our Savior Jesus. When we come to the knowledge of our Savior, we come to obey our Savior. When we come to follow our Savior Jesus, we come to attend the Father. When we disobey [โฆ]
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such; there is no law.๐
The fruit of the Spirit refers to the characteristics we should express as sons and daughters of God. They are evidence of the nature of God inside of us. As a Christian, you should be loving, kind, patient, gentle, reasonable, faithful, meek, joyful, and peaceful. We have the Holy Spirit as our guide who will help us make decisions that reflect this nature of God, in our daily lives.๐
Dear God, I thank you that I have the Holy Spirit to guide me in expressing who you are in my life. Father, in everything I do, may the fruits of the Spirit be evident. May I be different from the cruel and wicked ways of the world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.๐
