“THE GRATEFUL[L]S!” a poem April 30, 2019 (the last day of April, Tuesday!)

The birds sing merrily; the birds sing sweet!

The birds are NEVER “on rations,” for they just LOVE to eat,

Anything-they-can-get, thanking-God-all-the-time!

The-birds-are-grateful, adorable! and, oh, so-sublime!

THEY-HAVE “BIRD BRAINS,” WHICH-ARE BRAINS OF LOVE;

They-don’t-know-where-their-food’s-from! Below? or-Above!?

They’re just so happy, to-be eating HERE;

They-enjoy-stale-bread! or-bread-made-from-beer!

They ne’er complain! They-just sing and dance!

Birds are TRULY-JOYFUL!

Just-you-take a glance!
