It was a lovely day when the two cheeky kittens decided to go to town and shop for some fish and new collars as those they were wearing were very worn with all the gambolling around
It was a sunny day as they packed a little rucksack for the trip and sneaked out of the cat – flap at early dawn for their adventure meeting up on the lawn and having a little snack for brekkie and off they went skipping and chatting away
It was quick a long walk and their paws were tired when they reached a pool of cool water Moses said to Asparagus ” Let’s have a little paddle and cool our paws well it took a few steps and were taken aback at how cold the water felt as the splashed and jumped up and down a fish they spied wriggling along by the bank and before they could do anymore it was gone and the fish turned and smiled blowing bubbles at the two kittens now sitting on the edge of the river bank
Now it was time to get into town before the shops closed and no fish would be left for their tea so they walked a little further over the hill and into the town centre and straight to the shop selling the fish ~ Oh what a smell their tails in the air and seeing it there on the platter before them shopkeeper said to a lady before ‘ How can l help you madam ‘ l will have some fish she said and the shopkeeper scooped it up in a bag and all of it was gone in a flash as the two kittens looked sad as the Shopkeeper open the cold store and brought out a haddock enough for them both for their tea as he wrapped it up and put it in a bag and into the rucksack on Moses’s back
Now for a collar, they strolled out of the shop their tails in the air with smiles on their faces happy as each other they reached the shop selling all that kittens love to play with from bouncy toys and little fluffy mice they spied two matching collars just the right size and tried them on and said can you engrave our names so we never get lost and watched as the shopkeeper obliged and then wearing their freshly engraved collars strolled out the shop smiling and happy and went back to their home as it was now getting dark and time for tea and to enjoy their supper to eventually say Good Night to each other for a wonderful friend and good day until next time when the adventures continue for Moses & Asparagus together
