Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ
What can you add to Jesus to make him better? And what can you add to your salvation to make you even more saved? Nothing at all. Salvation comes entirely from what Jesus gives to us, not from what we bring ourselves. Our education, our upbringing, and our good works may all be good and useful, but none of them save us.
God, my salvation is in You alone. Help me not to rely on my own accomplishments and knowledge. Compared to you, they are worse than garbage. Help me to let go of my pride, and to use what You’ve given me only for Your purposes so that others see Your grace at work in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏
