The words that we speak are always a reflection of our hearts – the state of our minds. The things that we choose to dwell on will affect the mindset we choose to base our life decisions and actions on. If your mind is focused on the right things, the right things will flow from your mouth. If your mind dwells on negative things that bring no life, dead things will flow from the words that you speak. By “dead things” I mean that no refreshing words will be able to come out of your mouth. You will not be able to edify the people around you.

This is why we need to be mindful of the things we feed our minds. These things will be the things our minds will dwell on and formulate beliefs and convictions. If you feed your mind things that tear down and hurt others, you will end up hurting others yourself. If you feed yourself with godly material, material that gives life, you will end up giving life-giving words to the people that you encounter. It is profitable to be wise and walk in the counsel of the Lord. The words you speak and the advice you give will give life and restoration to those who need it. When your words are based on the Word of God, you will be able to refresh the souls of many.

But if your mind dwells on foolish, unfruitful things like gossip and foul speech, your words will not be profitable for anyone – they won’t even be profitable for yourself. If you let foolishness lead your life, you will find yourself in many terrible situations. Focusing on the wrong things, things that are not godly, will always lead to painful mistakes.💯

Confidence is an attribute that requires patience and time to build and develop. It cannot be achieved overnight, but with persistent effort, it can be cultivated over time. One proven way to boost confidence is by analyzing mistakes. When we make mistakes, it is crucial to evaluate what went wrong and identify how we can do better next time. By learning from our mistakes, we can avoid repeating them in the future, thereby increasing our confidence levels.

Another way to develop self-assurance is by gaining experiential knowledge. When we attempt new things, we may not succeed at first. Nonetheless, every attempt results in an increase of experience, which ultimately contributes to more assured abilities. It is thought-provoking to note that even in the face of failure, we can still learn from it and grow as individuals.

The importance of seeking God's steadfast love in the morning is articulated in Psalm 90:14. Starting our day by focusing on God and His love for us allows us to approach each day with confidence and joy. This act reminds us that we are blessed and loved by Him. Instead of dwelling on what we lack, we can concentrate on what we have and what God has blessed us with. Seeking His love and guidance allows Him to develop confidence in us, touching every aspect of our lives.

Until you release the wounds of your past, you are going to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex. But eventually it will all ooze through and stain your life. You must find the strength to open your wounds, stick your hands inside, pull out the core of the pain that is holding you in your past, the memories and make peace with them.
