WISHFUL THINKING

WISHFUL THINKING

My thoughts often stray to you
Wondering, if what happened
Had not happened
And conversely
And what should have happened
Happened.

Now all that I can do
Is to savour the moments
Hang my head in shame
Gather the broken pieces
Carry on with the business called life
Pretending nothing has occurred
The world remains the same
When I know like hell
The world’d never be the same again
And no use wishful thinking.
