“WHEN HAIRY MET STINKY SALLY.” a SUNDAY poem December 1, 2019

We’re HAIRY and DIRTY and STINKY old things;
There’s stuff caught in all the cracks, and all of this brings,
Such DISGUST and ADORATION in “terrible, equal measure,”
AND WHEN LOVE meets DISGUST, it’s a splendid, old treasure,
And YOU ARE MY TREASURE each time that you say:
“HOW CAN YOU STAND ME, forI’mIN: THIS WAY,
Of loathsome, filthy stinkiness and rancid poo poo?
I try to clean it all up before you see itALL, BUT YOU,
Just keep on appreciating my ‘yucky condition.’ “
LOVE IS SO BLIND; IT OVERLOOKS [the] DERELICTION.

“He still cleaves to my bosom, all chapped, chafed and seething,
With germs all from H _ L L, and my nipples He’s teething,
And I’LL NEVER UNDER STAND WHATyouSEEMt’ SEEin ME.
LOVE IS SO STUPID.”
DoYOU dare dis agree?
As The God of This Season pulls a child from a womb,
Knowing full well (before long) He’ll beINaTOMB,
Smelling, disgusting AND GLORIOUS TOO?
Who dreamed up this demented scenario?

IT MUSTaBEEN “YOU.”
