I don’t wantTo, (pause)
Be “TheBoy;” (pause)
I really want toBe,

The one who gives and shows kind love; that is: The Giving Tree,
But Something hits me pretty hard, and TheBoy then I become,
And I get mad and feel so weak andThen I’m just a bum,
Who takes advantage of the kindnesses of GoodTrees in my town,
And[Also]Overseas there are many trees; as aBoy I wear a frown,
Because I see myself AsTheBoy exploiting lovely trees;
They’re so lovely in kindSacrifice; I beg The Heavens, please:
Whatever it takes. Please let me give and lovingly do.
I’m sure The Boy role must be played, but I wish to give to YOU,
What I can “for others, Lord,” forI’m des perate to feel,
That I am notJustA BIGtaker,
Feeling like a heel.
Please, Dear Lord, if you can hear,
Yes, I’veWishedIwasNeverBorn,
But honestly, my fondest wish is that you might adorn,
MEwith TheRole ofTree, (pause) although sometimes I might take,
But PLEASEletMEgive muchMUCHmore;
