Fifty years ago this month, Leonard released his album Songs Of Love And Hate.

One of the songs featured on the album was “Last Year’s Man.”

About this song, Leonard said: “I don’t know why but I like this song.

I used to play it on a Mexican twelve-string until I destroyed the instrument by jumping on it in a fit of impotent fury in 1967.

The song had too many verses and it took about five years to sort out the right ones.

I like the children in this version.

I always wait for them if I have to listen to it.”

Great post and lovely songs that gives us both sides of the Greatest Story Ever Told of ‘ Love & Hate’ as one day long ago a man of Love came and brought words of wisdom and they caused him great pain, they scarred him and took his life and left him all but dead ….but then God knew his son and brought him back again Amen 🙏’s for those seeking the truth in a sea of hate Shalom 💫
