Lord Jesus Christ ⛪

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

A plant is only as good as its roots. If the roots are shallow, the plant will be destroyed by the first strong wind. If the roots get too wet, the plant will rot ~ too dry, the plant will wither. If the root isn't getting enough nutrients, any fruit produced will be puny and small. We, too, must be rooted if we are to thrive as the righteous people of God. We must be rooted properly in love. Not too shallow. Not too dry. We need to plant ourselves in the rich soil of God's love and let those nutrients flow through us so that the fruit we produce is lush, ripe, and healthy. When we are properly rooted in love, we produce love. And if we produce healthy "fruit," we will benefit all who come in contact with us.

Father, Help me to be rooted in Your love.

Help me to grow strong in Your love and to produce fruit which is love.

May the love that grows in me be an accurate reflection of the love You have for me.
