The enigmatic Green Stone of the Great Temple in Hattusa, Turkey, was the capital of the Hittite Empire. π₯
Its history and origins have not been identified and are believed to have had religious significance. π₯
The stoneβs type is also unknown, most likely a type of jade or serpentine; both types of stone are found in the geology of the region, and although such stones arenβt rare in the region, the fact that this one has managed to survive to this day in one piece and is significantly different from others in the area has attracted a lot of attention. π₯π₯π₯
Locals have long referred to it as a “wishing stone”. π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯

Thanks for the insight, I had no idea what wishing stones were.
Catherine, I, too, learnt about wishing stones. I believe that it is another form of Worship. Solance is found in many things. I hope in my heart they found their comfort in wishing stones. Shalom πππ
