“THE MEAN GODS I’D RATHER NOT SERVE.” a poem, a.k.a.: “And They Are ALL Mean Gods.” December 16, 2019 (Monday)

It’s my way or no way 😂😄😁
There’s so much pain ALREADY, Dear LordGOD,
Does there have to be MORE? to torture my poor “mind” and “bod?”
THAT’S WHY I DON’T “BELIEVE” IN Y O U,
But I CERTAINLY WILL abide,
With “sensible” rules and regulations.
From WHAT MAKES SENSE (to me) I will not hide,
But from the doctrines and dictates in a thousand religious books,
And from science and politics and technology’s all knowing looks,
I SHALL RESPECTFULLY WITHDRAW, for “proper” manners and rules,
I think I DON’T have to follow;
There is, of course, the acquiescence of fools.
OF COURSE, WHEN “PROPRIETY” IS THRUST UPON ME,
AND IT MIGHT MEAN JAIL and/or CONTRIVED PUNISHMENT,
Well, then I CERTAINLY see,
The value of YOUR laws. but when (I’m) away from HERE,
You will KNOW that I only gave deference out of fear,
