And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Our sins grieve the Lord because Sin is the darkness that separates us from God. When we choose to walk our own way instead of living our lives according to God’s will, we are choosing to separate ourselves from Him. He becomes saddened at the thought of being rejected by His children. We must take an honest look at the sins lurking in our thoughts and seek guidance to rid ourselves of the sins that separate us from our heavenly Father.
Heavenly Father, Please forgive us for the dark thoughts that cause us to sin and further separate us from You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
