
Police have launched a double murder investigation following the deaths of two men in an incident in Leeds yesterday.
At 11.06am yesterday police received a report of a man having been stabbed in Hill Top Avenue, Harehills.
Officers attended and found a seriously injured male in Back Hill Top Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Another man was found in a nearby address with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later.
A third male was located with a serious injury to his hand. The 46-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to hospital for treatment. A further male, aged 48, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the incident.
A scene is in place in the area to undergo forensic examination and specialist searches.
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are leading the investigation.
