No GOODBYES ~ you and me

“ALONE.” a poem of sorts, a.k.a.: “No Good Byes.” October 27, 2019 (Sunday)

I think we’re all just LOOKNG, I think we’re looking for someone who will be there when we “die,”

When we’re in out “deathbed,” sad & “ugly,” with a teardrop in our eye,

Looking for that someone who’ll be there regardless of what we look like or what we say,

Regardless of how we act, just THERE to spend the day,

Or, however long we’ll lay there, languishing, BUT NOT ALONE,

Because that certain someone LOVES US and will moan,

IF (when) we “pass away?” but really we never really do;

WE ARE NEVER ENDING; this much is true.

We just like to have someone who we can count upon,

To be there by our side; someone, we don’t have to “con;”

Someone that just LIKES us so much that (s)he never wants to see us go.

That’s what we’re looking for , and that is all I know,

EXCEPT THAT THIS “DEATH THING” IS REALLY A CHARADE,

We just set the thing up to discover THAT PERSON who will not fade,

From being there always at (y)our side,

And is willing to take even the bumpiest ride,

Just to be THERE next to and/or close by,

If and when you find such a friend, it’s gotta make you cry,

For, then, you know you’ll never be alone,

And then, you do not need a telephone,

AND you never need to feign that you’re dying,

Because you found HIM (HER) , and you can stop trying,

To DISCOVER there is THAT PERSON who loves you just for you,

AND loves being with you when you DO,

The most outrageous crazy human things ever done.

When you find THAT person, you’re not alone any more & life is just a whole lot of fun.

OF COURSE, you’re always alone, and all these others are make believe,

So THAT PERSON, who will never ever leave,

IS JUST YOU IN DISGUISE.

Isn’t that nice?

To you, you never have to say ANY GOOD BYES.
