“WHEN MORNING GILDS THE SKIES?” a poem, a.k.a.: “The Promised Land.” November 7, 2019 (Thursday)

NEW PARADIGM POETRY: is new. because WE UNDERSTAND,

More about what OTHERS EXPECT; this is The Promised Land;

PROMISED because we both know that “Change is the only STABLE,

Factor we have to deal with. We might HOPE we both are able,

To SEE THE COURSE, andMakeSoCalled’corrections,’ to show there’s nothing chronic;

There’s ONLY ratesOFchange; youSEE, I think YOUare SUPERSONIC,

And ME? (Who knows.) I could be very slow, dragging my feet around;

WHO KNOWS IF WE ARE MOVING ON TOGETHER, or even where we’re bound.”

PROMISED because IF WE PRAY, we might have a companion on,

THE GREATEST ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME,

Or lifetimes? Shall we CHON?

For The World can be PRETTY OFFAL, but, at least, we’ll have something to eat,

And, maybe, it’s the best food after all, IF WE’RE GOING TO GREET,

“New Paradigm Poetry” and withstand the days to come.

I don’t expect EASY at all; call it: “The Journey of The Bum.”

Are we comfortable BEING VAGABONDS? roaming in territory new?

NEW? at least nothing that either of us has seem? but still there’s me & you,

Determined to have an adventure, but I don’t think we should expect,

Anything short of “deep sea diving,” danger and, perhaps, a good ship wrecked,

BUT HEY. I bet there will be other means of transport where,

Ever we are going, but our motives we might share.

MINE? I think: “To be ‘helpful?’ to others wherever we go.”

Perhaps, you might tell me YOUR intentions. Do you even know?

Well, I THINK (but please correct me, if you will): You desire “Intuitive Refinement,”

But WHY? What’s it gonna be for? Do you have ANY ASSIGNMENT?
