“DRIVE SAFELY!” a poem a.k.a.: “Wanderlust!” 11 June 2019 (Tuesday)
“Hey, man! What should I do?”
“Make a decision!! Follow it through!”
“But, what’s-the-‘best’-one?”
“They’re EQUALLY vile,
Plus, all-have-their-advantages, so, decide-with-a-smile!
Know-that whatever-you-PURPOSE, you purpose-to-do,
And IF-you-CAN DO-IT, it-WAS meant-for you!
“Why CAN we do things?”
“I haven’t a clue! Just DECIDE-what-you-WANT-to; try not-to-be-‘blue;’
JUST DO IT, if-you-want!”
“I want a men-tor!”
“Don’t look to me! FIND YOUR OWN CEN-T[o]ER!”
“Do-you-have-any-advice? Just-any-at-all,
That MI-a-GHT assist-me? ‘fore-I-do-FALL?”
“Well! Everything MAY-be-equal, but-SOME-[things]-FAMILIAR-BE,
And-familiar’s-easier-FOR-SOME, but-then there’s-boredom, you see!
Yet, some-folks will-tolerate boredom-quite-well;
Others? Not-so-much; they”d-rather go-to-H – L L,
Because they-do-think: that-‘Variety’s-the-spice-o’-life,
And, with-short-mem’ries, ‘GRANDIOSE-TRIPS BRING-MUCH-STRIFE!’
Anyway, ‘SITTING PRETTY MAY BE STAYING WHERE YOU’RE AT!’
At least, you have the-familiar-Welcome-Mat!”
“Yes, but I WANNA TRAVEL!”
“Then, good luck, my lad!
Drive-safely; have fun [IF-possible], you’re-a wild-&-crazy-cad!”
