πŸ‘‘ LORD

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

There is one thing that God is consistent with, keeping his promises. The Lord promised to protect the children of Zion and did everything he could to sustain their kingdom. The people’s choices may not have always been exactly what he wanted, but He made a covenant with them that needed to be fulfilled. If that meant altering the weather a little bit, God would be willing to do that.

Giving God, you sustain us through all our struggles. You water us like a plant in the desert, quenching our thirst for faith. We all long to believe, Lord, and You always deliver that which we require. I will never forget what You have done for me, merciful Lord, and I pray that I shall be a better person from this point forward. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.πŸ™

LORD πŸ™

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

I am reminded of the lyrics from the song Amazing Grace. “I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.” The Lord is the light to the world, shining brightly in the darkness. Open your eyes and bask in His grace and glory.

Amen πŸ™

Graceful Father, Your teachings is like a beacon that shines in the darkness. Before Jesus, we were blind, living as sinners, and even killing the Son of God. How could our vision have been so different from Yours? Thank you for giving us the chance to correct it. Thank you for listening to our please and thinking on our behalf. It is with Your amazing grace that we might live in heaven for all eternity. I love You, my Father.

Amen.

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell amid a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

Having this vision and seeing how holy God is, Isaiah panicked. Isaiah is unworthy. He is sinful and dirty in comparison to the greatness of God. He dwells and lives among other humans who are just as sinful. Have you ever experienced a similar realization? God is so good, and by contrast, You are worse than dirt. God is great, and none can measure up to Him. Isaiah is worried about His state of being. What can He do? How can He bear to stand before a God so pure and holy when Isaiah is not? We see in the next two verses that God purifies Him.

Lord, I am not Lord, I am not worthy to stand in Your presence. I am not worthy to untie Your shoes or wash Your feet. You are indescribably good. I am nothing compared to Your glory. I am so prideful. I can go about thinking things revolve around me, that I’m important, and that I am awesome. I am not awesome. Only You are awesome. I have broken Your law. I could not keep them. Only You are able to do that. I confess my sins to You in the name of Jesus. Amen. to stand in Your presence. Only You can discover that. I confess my sins to You in the name of Jesus. Amen.
