Healing Time π₯
A beautiful gift to yourself, is a day of healing and nourishing just for you.
Human beings carry within themselves the seed of healing. Our choices affect us more than we realize, and it is because of this that we tend to place responsibility for our wellness in the hands of others. As beneficial as regular visits to a healer can be, we have the power to heal ourselves at will. When we dedicate a day to the pursuit of wellness, we can relax and renew ourselves in a nourishing and comfortable environment. A sincere desire to open ourselves to the highest realities of our physical and spiritual selves is the key to self-healing so that healing energy can flow into us unimpeded.
A self-healing day should address the vital needs of the self as a whole while directing healing energy where it is needed most. Solitude is an important part of the process as is the ability to take refuge in a space that is both beautiful and peaceful. Start your healing day by setting the intention that you are dedicating this time to healing yourself. Flowers, candlelight, incense, and music can guide our focus toward a more tranquil state. For a more intense session, try listening to music through headphones since tuning out can help you tune in. It is up to us to decide what we need to do to cultivate wellness in our lives. For some, it may be time spent in reflection. Others will turn to calming activities that help them remember their purpose, such as journal writing, being in nature, or studying. Our healing may even take a more direct form as we use color, sound, or crystals to balance and ground ourselves.
Ultimately, your wholesome intentions transform what might otherwise be a simple day of rest into a day of healing. Grant yourself permission to relax and savor the stillness. If you attune yourself to the calm around you, worldly distractions will be minimized and the unadulterated flow of your consciousness will reestablish itself in the forefront of your mind. The needs of the body, the heart, and the soul will then be revealed to you, empowering you to tap into the essential healing energy of the universe. The mechanism you use to channel this energy will be dependent on your shifting requirements, so each day of healing you enjoy will be unique. All will replenish you, however, allowing you to recreate yourself in a perfect image of health.
Nature
I usually do my walking at Sea
Or around the streams
Engagement with nature is strongly linked to mental well-being and happinessβ¦
And also your physical health
Regular exercise in natural settings helps to improve mood and self-esteemβ¦
Thus, nature walks can reduce anxiety
Depression and negativityβ¦
I have found that a tranquil setting for walking soothes the spirit and calms the nerves
Inducing a sense of quiet in the mind and in the bodyβ¦
During my walks
I forget about the stresses of life and simply focus on immersing myself in natureβ¦
And connecting with the universeπ₯
I enjoy wandering around the various trails and boardwalksβ¦
Taking in the sights, smells and sounds
I look out for wildlife amongst the trees and plantsβ¦
I smell the leaves and fragrance of flowers
I listen for bird calls and bird songsβ¦
With just a few minutes of walking in nature
My head feels clearer and my body more relaxedβ¦
I feel a sense of inner peace
Heal ~
“I believe the choice to be excellent begins with
aligning your thoughts and words with the intention
to require more from yourself.” ~ Oprah Winfrey
Making options is probably the most stressful thing that we do as humansβ¦
Or perhaps more accurately
The stressful thing we do is to choose avoidance when we donβt like what choices weβre facingβ¦
This is what creates the stress
It doesnβt have to be that way thoughβ¦
Especially if you donβt make yourself solely responsible for the outcome of all the things that you donβt like about your life
Basically we work like thisβ¦
When we donβt like the result of our choices
We blame ourselves and lose confidence in our ability to make choices in the first placeβ¦
None of us can predict the outcome of every choice we make
Including how others will or wonβt respond to the things we choose for ourselvesβ¦
And to think that we can
Need toβ¦
Or should is the enemy that so often prevents the feeling of living with purpose
What we can do, howeverβ¦
When we are fearful about making a choice
Is turn towards itβ¦
Rather than away from it
Get uncomfortable for all of five minutes (thatβs literally the length of time of actual discomfort at most)β¦
And decide in your mind to see how it feels before you act on it
The worst falsehoods are the ones we tell ourselves. The worst verbal abuse comes from our tongue. The most negative influence is the devil on our shoulders. The cruellest judge is the one staring back in the mirror. The person withholding the love you need, is you? No one will ever outdo you at playing mind-games. You must stop doing this to yourself! The universe is calling you to heal, not to agonize over your mistakes. Quit overthinking; this is what surrendering means. Don’t focus on negativity and don’t even obsess about “fixing” things or yourself. Don’t force “positive thinking.” These things can be psychological irritants. Just leave yourself alone! When you pick at things they never heal. Just relax and give yourself some time.
Remember that you are the angel of your own life. Look past your ugly thinking; your fears, mistakes, worries, and doubts. Your struggles seem to be external, but we are always destroyed from the inside out. The way you transcend your challenges is by listening to the inner guide within you. Your good judgment, your discernment, your kind thoughts and your own loving heart β in service of your highest good β is the angel you have been looking for to deliver you. The moment you accept your beauty and power is the moment your deliverance begins.
“Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to impose if we would but realize it than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.” β Henry Miller
