“Baby’s in the womb; baby’s warm and safe;
Baby has NO PROBLEMS.” and We ASSUME there is no ..
WE ASSUME: WHEN BABY POPS OUT, BABY CRIES BECAUSE,
BABY’S UNHAPPY IN THE WORLD.
An assumption, yes, it does,
Make an ass of U and ME;
We see it all the time, but DO WE REALLY SEE?
That The line between Heaven and H EL L is perilously Thin;
“I WANNA GO TO HEAVEN; please lemme in,”
‘Cause I ASSUME by Faith orBecauseI’mTOLD,
“HEAVEN WILL BE ‘PERFECT;’ we’ll never get no scold.”
We’ll have no suffering, no discomfort or pain;
ASSUMPTIONS: they’reWhatPROVES weReally Are INSANE,
For we haven’t sufficient information notEnough to even speak,
But we keep assuming ASS U Me ing throughout the week,
And we pat one another on the back, as if to say:
“We KNoW WHAT we’ve talking about & doing; yippee kai yay,”
OR “Let’s suffer some or A LOT, so we can really PROVE,
That we CAN IMPROVE from our TYPICAL GROOVE,
Yet, we don’t know what GAIN is, so we ASSUME ONCE MORE;
Let’s just assume away for evermore,
So, when we get to Heaven and things are oh so fine,
We might even forget about YOURS and MINE;
There? Everything is ONE and everybody owns,
ALL OF ETERNITY, all flesh and bones?
WHEN YOU GET THAT HAPPY SUDDENLY YOU ARE BORED,
And you realize “Variety IS the spice of life,” and we really MUST afford,
TO HAVE SOME SUFFERING or else WE’RE DEAD;
There are just SO MANY ASSUMPTIONS YOU CAN CRAM INTO YOUR HEAD,
Then, it EXPLODES and I FEEL NO PAIN?
But, also, I can NO LONGER ENJOY a Summer rain,
Or the rash afterwards or The Sun on My Face;
I JUST LOVE SUNBURN, and being with YOU in THIS PLACE
