My Sweet Valentine ~

“MY SWEET VALENTINE PIC(K)!” a poem, a.k.a.: “You Deserve More than One Valentine’s Day!” for (You guessed it!) August (not June!) 14, 2019 – WEDNESDAY!

I fell asleep this morning! Later, you-said: “YOU broke-my-Heart,”

But I never intended to break it, and now I have a dart,

A Poisoned Dart! that I have placed – because I feel the pain,

Of having disappointed YOU! I’m sure The World’s insane!

An Insane World? Well, it-means: that-we-are-insane-too,

Looking for The Perfect Life! Something EVER NEW!

Something-always-producing-happiness, and-we-want to-do-A-LOT,

To demonstrate OUR diligence! Do-(I) (YOU) wanna-tie-“a-knot,”

With-someone very special, who’ll-suffer going-through,

The Thick-‘n’-Thin-of-This-Crazy-Life! (I think that someone’s YOU!)

BUT it’s up-to-us-both to Consider-THIS:

IS IT WORTH ENDURING LIFE TOGETHER – FOR THE SAKE OF A KISS?

FOR THE TOUCH OF (MY) (YOUR) HAND? Do we take a stand,

And see things through? IT’S UP TO – ME AND YOU!

AND – “It’s EXPECTATIONS that will make us often blue!”

IT’S SETTING THE MARK, BEFORE WE ARRIVE,

AND THEN STRIVING FOR THAT PERFECTION! Can’t we NOT strive?

For: PERFECT MOMENTS?

For: PERFECT PEACE?

For a new life?

Rather: WHAT ABOUT ONE-OF E A S E?

Of: NOT STRIVING?

Of: NOT BLAMING?

Of: NOT SAYING: “WE M U S T ATTAIN, “

But of just observing and breathing – and-dropping any “complain,”

And watching to see WHAT (if anything) SHOWS,

And, comfortably (maybe) selecting another-“set-of-clothes!”

BUT-KNOW: YOU will NEVER break MY Heart! I’ll do that if broken it needs to be;

YOU can’t be blamed – and you can’t give me happiness! That’s all up to me!

BUT-YOU, my-Love! YOU in-spire, and that gives me a chance to CHOOSE:

Happiness! Doubt-&-Pain! or A Bottle-of Cheap-Bad-Booze!

BUT! YOU don’t “drive me to drink;” I can drive me fine,

BUT! YOU! To: YOU – I-will-always offer-MY-Valentine! ♥
