Mail order ~

“MAIL ORDER ART SALES!” a poem, written by a money mad artist named The Mystic Poet? a.k.a.: “It’s Not The Money, But The Principle Of The Thing?” a.k.a.: “Beware The Psychic Holding a Feather Duster!” circa August 13, 2019 (Tuesday)

WHAT-I-sold-for-20-bucks-on-Facebook, cost-me $25 to send;

It was-a $200-painting, but!? this-one’s sent-to-“a-friend?”

So, I covered all the postage – and packaged it up too,

“It should-be only-days ‘fore-it-comes-along to-you!”

SHE-said: “The cash is ‘in the mail,’ a lovely twenty spot!”

[So, I will get me twenty dollars?! Not-200! Twenty’s-not-really-a-lot!]

And-this 20-dollar-BILL won’t-even -cover-the-post,

So, I’m out a-FIVE-spot there, and-also-the-$200-painting I’ve-lo[w]st!

Thus, as-I-see-it, I’ll-lose-the-painting AND $25 BESIDE;

This “mailing-out-of-paintings” really-takes-it-out-o’-your-hide!

So, I-think-that in-the-future if-I’m-[not?]-painting-to-make-money,

I might just NOT SELL STUFF, ’cause all this work ain’t funny!

I’m really not interested in profit loss AND loss of painting too;

I think I’m A TERRIBLE ART SALESMAN, for I don’t know what to do!

So, I went to get me PSYCHIC ADVICE! Yeah, I-went-to Madame X[XX],

And-SHE, she also got a bunch of my money, to place a bloody hex,

Upon-the-lady-who “bought” my artwork, ’cause-that-girl-done-made-me-cry,

But I said: “Madame, DON’T-PLACE-A-HEX; it’s OK, my tears I’ll dry!”

(I-figured-I’d chalk-it-up to-experience; I’d rather do that than lay some curse,

Even-if-I-suffer the-loss of [a bunch of] cash from my empty purse!)

“Well, you’re so nice,” she said to me, as-she pulled-out my fancy art;

“I’m the one you shipped it to! [I-can-tell] you-did-it from-your-Heart!

JUST-KNOW, WHATEVER YOU-THINK-YOU-GAIN OR LOSE,

IN THIS LIFE, WELL, HERE’S SOME NEWS:

‘You get what you need, and others do too;

EVERYTHING’S BALANCED, FOR ME AND YOU!’ “

Moral: Balance is ETERNAL and inherent in The Game!

(She gave me back my painting and said: “No one’s to blame;

NO ONE! for-anything! and – IF this rule were liberally applied,

We would all live in Paradise!”)

MY TEARS? I EASILY DRIED!
