Nothing compares to that first kiss with someone.
And I’m not talking about a random kiss from a stranger you met at a party.
I’m talking about that first kiss with the person you’ve been getting to know and falling for slowly.
I’m talking about that moment when you both are standing there and the only sound you can hear is that of your heart racing in your ears.
And your breathing becomes varied and the adrenaline starts pumping.
And the entire time you’re freaking out because you pray that you don’t miss this moment up.
But you don’t rush this kiss even though your entire body is sending you signals to get the hell out of that situation.
And when your lips finally connect with this person, something happens.
Your lips suddenly form a bridge for the emotions of the other to flood onto.
And both of your hands don’t know where to be so they desperately grab onto whatever skin they touch.
And within that ten second window, everything else suddenly doesn’t matter.
And you both pull away, with your fingers still lingering on each other’s skin
Your breathing still stuttered and your eyes still closed because reality can wait a couple more seconds before it comes crashing in again.
Yeah, nothing compares to that first kiss.
