Gratitude ~

I saw this post on social media today, and it pained me to read this and comments laughing. It not ok to hurt children. It is a criminal offence in Australia.

My father was a saint. He always said, ” no child should be belted; that was the result of bad-tempered, self-indulgent idiots.” There were six children in the family. Never once did he raise his voice or abuse us. Every Saturday night, he sang us Irish songs and played the piano, violin, saxophone. We were so blessed to have compassion, tolerance and gratitude by example. Every one of these family members, by example, also never belted their children. Today we see child abuse as a crime. Threats of violence to precious children are no longer acceptable. I remember as a child only how to love, toleration towards all youngsters. I thank my parents for teaching me peace, love for all. I believe that people all are born with the goddess. I wept when I read this post. ” belting a child” is horrific.

In memory of my Father and Mother who shared their love, kindness to six wonderful children. Danny Boy, my Father sang with tears running down his face, taught us peace patience.

Life is like a bunch of roses. Some sparkle like raindrops. Some fade when there's no sun. Some just fade away in time. Some dance in many colors. Some drop with hanging wings. Some make you fall in love. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Life you can be sure of, you will not get out ALIVE.(sorry about that)
