“IF-you-purify, cleanse and-refine-your-soul, you’ll-get-happier-richer-and-better!
DO-GOOD! THINK-PURE! Let-go-o’-fear -&-forgive-each-&-ev’ry-debtor!
For, striving to please The Lord of Hosts – or The God who created ALL THIS,
Is-commendable!-Can-we all-agree? DONATIONS-&-PRAYERS-NEVER-MISS,
To insure your HAPPINESS!? forever-more?
And-also: Do-GOOD-and-you-WON’T-BE-a-BORE!
YOUR FUTURE IMPROVES!?
You’ll-be-MASTER-OF-ALL-GROOVES,
Of OUR FABULOUS CHURCH,
OF THE BLESSED RE-SEARCH!”
[Is-it a “Home Run!?”]
And I SMILED! at The Choir, Which had given me “this flyer,”
THAT DECLARED ALL THIS TRUTH!
“Truth At Last!” Oh, forsooth!
WE ARE FED HERE AND THERE –
PROPOGANDA! BEWARE,
And it comes from ALL PORTS:
Science! Church! and – The Courts!
And from well-meaning AUNTs, who will teach us to dance,
The Waltz – or The Glide, with a partner beside,
US! reminding-us that-Life, without STRATAGEM’s just-strife!?
Let me breathe on and on, To avoid all this con,
KNOWING-THIS-IS-just-“FINE,” but, perhaps, NOT ‘divine?”
For, my-confidence-is-HERE: In my Little Heart, Dear;
I will place my hand there, to release EVERY FEAR,
Which-urges-me to-make-a-plan, And tells me: “You’re-ONLY-a-man!”
BUT A MAN CAN DECIDE, in His Heart to reside,
And resist-that tricky embrace, Of some-god – with-a-smiling-face!
