Overcoming Procrastination

When you know what the right thing to do but hesitate to do it, remember that it’s okay — everyone faces this challenge at times. Sometimes, you might be putting off a task because it feels uncomfortable or makes you anxious. Maybe you’re worried about how you’ll handle it or fear not doing it perfectly. Whatever the reason, don’t be hard on yourself.

Here’s some good news: you’re not alone, and there’s a way forward! The feelings behind procrastination often come from how we see ourselves. But remind yourself that you are a beloved child of the living God, filled with His wisdom and strength through His Spirit. You already have everything you need to accomplish what the Lord has placed before you. So, there’s no need to be afraid. With Christ’s help, you can do it!

Take a deep breath, let go of those worries, and move forward with confidence. Embrace the joy and peace that come from trusting in God’s plentiful resources.

Jesus, I know what I need to do—please help me to finish this task with a willing heart. Amen.
