Return to Self: A Prayer for When It’s Too Much
I call back every piece of me that was left behind in pain. The parts of me that were silenced. Broken or forgotten. You are welcome here now. You are safe.
I am not the fire that burned me. I am not the waves that tried to drown me. I am the one who rose again and again.
I speak to every fear in my bones: You do not own me. You are only echoes. I am here to release them.
This life is heavy, yes. But I am older than this pain. My soul remembers peace, and I will find my way back to it.
I honour the woman I’ve been, the child who survived. And the spirit who chose to return
