The most real woman in a man’s life is the one he hurts the most.
She’s the one who shows up for him when life is against him, the one who wipes his tears in silence, encourages his dreams when he’s ready to give up, and sacrifices pieces of herself to make sure he feels whole.
She’s loyal when he’s at his lowest, patient when he’s at his worst, and forgiving when he doesn’t deserve it.
Yet, instead of protecting her heart, he chips away at it little by little, thinking she’ll always be there.
However, the reality is that a woman can only take so much.
By the time he realises what he had, by the time he finally grows up and decides to do right by her, it’s often too late.
She’s no longer the same woman who fought so hard for him.
She’s tired, guarded, and numb from the pain.
She doesn’t even know how to love him anymore, because she spent years trying to love someone who didn’t value her as she valued him.
Way, and the cruel irony is that the moment he finally understands her worth is the exact moment she no longer has the energy to give him the love he once took for granted.
Once a woman reaches that place of emptiness, she doesn’t go back.
She learns.
She heals, and she saves her love for someone who won’t make her regret giving it.
