Grateful ~

Heavenly Father, I am genuinely grateful for each and every blessing You bestow upon me. Thank you for the abundance in my life!

Today, as I rode the bus, I spotted a beautiful girl with golden hair, her smile lighting up the space around her. I felt a spark of envy for her joy, but as she gracefully exited, I noticed her crutch—she was overcoming challenges with such courage! It filled me with gratitude. Thank you for my two legs; the world is mine!

I met a delightful young man at a delightful candy shop who radiated happiness. We started a conversation, and even though I thought I might be running late, it hardly mattered. As I prepared to leave, he thanked me, saying, “You’re so kind. I’ve really enjoyed talking with you. I can’t see, but your smile shines bright.” Thank you for giving me two eyes; the world is mine!

Later, I saw a bright blue-eyed child watching other kids play. He seemed a bit shy, so I paused to encourage him. “Why not join in with your friends?” I asked, but he gazed ahead silently, unable to hear me. My heart swelled with compassion. Thank you for my two ears; the world is mine!

With my feet taking me on adventures, my eyes soaking in the beauty of a stunning sunset, and my ears hearing the laughter and music around me, I embrace the joy in every moment. Oh God, thank you for all these gifts; I am truly blessed; the world is mine!
