Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
It’s hard to see evil win
When scams and fraud succeed or a coworker uses lies and manipulation to get ahead, injustices make us want to do something.
But instead of retaliating and giving in to evil, the Lord calls us to trust Him and His timing.
He is not blind to sin, and He will deal with it in time.
So as we wait on Him, He fills us with His peace, even amid corruption.
Lord, the injustice around me breaks my heart and makes me angry.
Thank You for being my retreat.
Teach me to be still in Your presence, to know that injustice will not go unanswered.
Help me to dwell in Your peace so that I can endure the evil around me and not become like the unjust and the schemers.
