For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 💥

The words of men are hollow and fleeting. Philosophies come and go, slogans are suitable only for a season, and the promises of men ultimately fail. But in God’s word, we experience living, transforming power. So let us receive the Word not as the next good idea, but as eternal and enduring truth, with the ability to change our hearts, minds, and lives. 💥

Lord, as I open Your word, I ask that You speak to me through it. Please use the words on these pages to grow me in my knowledge of You and my love for You. Give me a hunger for Your word so that I may continue to receive it and be strengthened as You apply it to my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.💥
