“RECOMMENDATIONS!” a poem of FILMS [maybe] worth watching, more than once! July 23, 2019 (Tuesday)

I recommend: LOVE ACTUALLY! It’s actually – very nice;

It has: Romance! Humor! Intrigue! and Sugar-‘n’-Spice!

I-like-to-recommend (mostly) “charming-films!” NOT: “She lost her hand,”

Or – “He lost his mind!” or – “Beware! The Speckled Band,

Of Death” – and unhappy endings!

Too-many “twists and turns” will not-allow for “graceful-mendings!”

I like 50 FIRST DATES, although a little risque,

But I’d recommend-it-to-YOU – so you can-cry on-a-rainy-day,

And JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO – and-also CHANCES ARE!

Of course, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE! and TIN CUP’s “under par!”

LADY IN THE WATER! Yes! It can be a bit alarming,

But, there’s-just-something-about-it – that makes-it-[ever]-so-charming!

And PRACTICAL MAGIC, although-chilling,

Makes-for-A-VERY-GOOD-YEAR, which-is-truly-thrilling,

Along with FERRIS BUEHLER’S DAY OFF,

And ABOUT TIME, which might make-you-cry – and cough!

The remake of THE (SECRET) LIFE OF WALTER MITTY is great!

And CINEMA PARADISO – is sad, but-stills-get-“The Charming” rate!

JUNO! and THE FULL MONTY! are-about life and love,

And PRETTY WOMAN is always charming! a cut above!

I’ve got to say: “I’ve got others,” but-mostly-“charming”-I-recommend,

For enjoyable viewing-and-laughs-and-tears, offering “The-CASABLANCA-End!”

I KNOW! I’ve missed a bunch of Johnny Depp’s &, of-course, they all really rate,

But-the-only-one-I-recommend, ‘though-gruesome! is:-THE-NINTH-GATE!

And, of course, Roman Polanski! What a guy! with many-thrillers,

So, I-just-wanna-recommend: THE-FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS!

And! NO LIST IS COMPLETE (although it-was never one-of-the-High-Billers):

See, James Corden, as A Clown, &-also-one-of-the LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS!
