A mother who dressed her nine-year-old daughter in Playboy outfits and restrained her while men raped her has been jailed for ten years. The girl, who is now 15, was molested by her mum’s ‘friends’ at her Gold Coast home every other day over a one-year period between May 2014 and May 2015. The girl was repeatedly woken with men on top of her when she was wearing bunny ears and a black lace dress ‘Playboy’ costume.
Judge David Kent on Tuesday sentenced the 41-year-old mother, who can’t be named for legal reasons, to ten years behind bars. The woman was declared a serious violent offender, meaning she will have to serve 80 per cent of her sentence before being eligible for parole.
‘Your conduct was enabling or aiding others to commit sexual acts on the complainant,’ he told the woman in court on Tuesday, according to the Courier Mail.
‘This is extremely serious offending and … I am not particularly convinced of prospects of rehabilitation.’
The woman has already spent 20 months in custody. When the woman was found guilty of five sexual assault charges in March, she screamed out ‘it’s so wrong’ and ‘this didn’t even happen’. Judge David Kent is absolutely right, she will not be rehabilitated as she does not think she has done anything at all wrong. To not even admit her guilt despite being found guilty shows an absolute arrogance and unwillingness to change at all. She does not recognize her behaviour as wrong and so therefore will never change it.
The girl was only nine years old when the abuse started and was molested by a different man every time. The abuse only came to light when the girl wrote a note saying her mum used to ‘come in with friends and touch me improperly’, to her psychologist, who reported it to the police. She later told authorities her mum would ‘undress her and be naughty’ and gave her a drink that made her feel drowsy. She said on one occasion her mother held her hands while she was being abused and asked the men for money after their attack.
The girl was in hospital on suicide watch during the trial. Police have found no evidence that she was taking money for the attacks and no men have been charged with abuse. How can they tell us the mother did not have information on the monsters who she aided to rape her daughter. Not a chance in hell does she not know exactly who they are !
The girl’s father had been in custody for drug charges at the time of the abuse. He previously told the court that his daughter’s mental health was suffering and she was on suicide watch in a Brisbane hospital. ‘I have to put up with a child who has tried to kill herself three times,’ he said. ‘If you think this is some kind of con job, I’m the one paying the joke. If I made some story up then the joke is on me.’
This poor girl never once stood a chance, her father literally said “I’ve had to put up with a child who has tried to kill herself 3 times” Oh poor you dad, poor you ! YOUR DAUGHTER’S SUICIDE ATTEMPTS ARE NOT ABOUT YOU ! What is wrong with some people !
This so called “mother” should also never again be allowed to call herself a mother. She MUST have her children PERMANENTLY taken away from her. Forget the “uniting the families” rubbish this thing should never again be allowed near children ever ! Let alone be allowed to be in control of one.
