
Colson’s Expedition into the Simpson Desert in Central Australia in 1936.
The camels photographed are about 7 miles west of the Mulligan River, near the Rabbit-Proof Fence.
This is the only place where drift sand was encountered; the camels stood 15 feet above the original fence.
