
Eight school children and two teachers are trapped in a chairlift around 900 feet in the air in Pakistan.
One of the cables snapped as the group were travelling to school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday morning, according to rescue official, Bilal Ahmad Faizi.
Tanveer Ur Rehman, a local Battagram district official, said: ‘The chairlift is hanging 1,200 feet (365 meters) above ground.
‘Rescue efforts are impossible without a helicopter, and experienced rescue officials are needed to ensure the rescue goes smoothly.’
