The Sovereignty of the Lord in Creation, Providence, and Redemption

“Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.”
-Psalm 135:6 ESV

This verse reminds us of the sovereignty and power of the Lord. He is in control of all things, both in heaven and on earth. He has the ability to do whatever he pleases, and his will is always done. We see examples of this in creation, providence, and grace.

Just as the Lord created the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all deep places according to his will, he also works in our lives in ways that we may not always understand. His ways are higher than our ways, and his plans are perfect.

In times of uncertainty or difficulty, we can find comfort in knowing that the Lord is in control. We can trust in his wisdom and his goodness, knowing that he is working all things for our goodness
